Hotel Trattlerhof

Good hotel. Very nicely decorated, cozy like home. Very friendly hotel owner, attentive to every guest. Helpful and nice staff .The whole hotel is very clean. Delicious food. Good Wi-Fi .

We arrived at the hotel after a difficult trip in the mountains, the ladies at the reception welcomed us with a smile and were very pleasant. they showed us the hotel, wellness and our rooms. They did their best for us throughout our stay. the food and service were amazing, so I highly recommend this hotel.

After 3 visits, I have a mixed experience: Positives: 1) location next to a charming river, very cute setting, directly on the mountain slope, in nature. Fantastic. 2) excellent and smily service & staff 3) Great spa, clean, spatious, numerous facilities. 4) free charging of electric cars Negatives: 1) no air conditioning in the room. The excuse is, they're next to a river and 1000m high, so it's fresh in the evening. Well, no : it was 25+ in the room in the morning and if you need to stay for some time in the room, it is not nice. 2) Food quality and Hours are aimed at an Austrian audience, not international. Dinner closes at 20.30, and after 19.00 they pack up everything. Also for breakfast: supposedly till 11am ; at 9.30am they start packing up and at 10am you need to request as there is no buffet left. [Note: they have taken this feedback and ready to change] . Selection and quality also quite basic both for Breakfast and Dinner when visited. 3) Rigid rules : despite a beautiful evening and my repeated request, it was not possible to have dinner on the outside (empty) tables just next to the restaurant. You have to stay at your pre-set table inside. [Note: this point was also taken as improvement action following my review]. 4) Bed quality (for my room, 302) was not good. 2 single mattresses put together in a large single bed structure, with the middle part completely falling. Why not having a normal large double mattress, like everywhere else in the world? Important: i have been contacted by the staff after this review and they showed a clear motivation to change and upgrade the above points, hopefully it will be implemented.
