Modern and full in-room amenities and conveniences of a highly comfortable hotel without giving up the charm and look of traditional Paris hotels. Attentive and friendly desk staff, fantastic breakfast, and a great location. I will be back. Special praise for the personnel in the breakfast room who assisted their guests.
The hotel and location were both very nice. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Good selection of restaurants nearby and the Luxembourg gardens are very close and well worth a stroll It was very hot when we first arrived (July) and while they do have AC, it's not as strong as what you might have in the US, so just be prepared for that. We opened our windows at night and it was very nice. That's typically the case generally in Europe, not just this particular place. One issue we had that you may never see again is that the lift was down while we were there and I have a leg injury so getting up and down five sets of stairs was pretty painful at times. There were workers there trying to fix it but it was still down when we left. There is a tiny secondary lift that couldn't hold more than two people (they had a sign up asking to limit it to one at a time) but it only worked intermittently. If I didn't have a leg injury or was on a lower floor, it wouldn't have been a issue at all. Otherwise very happy with everything.
The location is very convenient to the metro station and bus stop. The street is quiet. However, the room and building are in need of an upgrade. The bed was very squeaky, and the hair dryer did not work. The major problem was the elevator — it’s really small and slow, it still takes a long time to get in. The stairs are not suitable for people who are not young. The service was good. The reception staff were very helpful with all questions and requests.
