A 4 star hotel that feels closer to 3 stars. This hotel is conveniently located, easy access to the main area of town, easy walk to the bus station and just a short drive to the ruins. This however, could be and inconvenience, since it’s always busy and noisy around the property. Parking lot is limited and designed in the most unpractical way, people park the way they want and it seems the hotel’s staff takes most of the spaces for their cars and motorcycles. I reserved through Expedia and the rate didn’t include breakfast, at check in it felt like the receptionist read my rights, “no breakfast, and you CAN NOT bring any food into the hotel”, like saying “don’t dare to bring anything from the supermarket across the street”. At check in they gave us the room key in the form of a card with an orange sticker where they wrote the room number, and two remote controls, one for the A/C, and one for the TV. The A/C one didn’t work, someone from the hotel came and said it had to be configured, in the meant the room was very hot. The room was clean, spacious and very noisy. By the way signage to find your room is rather confusing, there are stickers on the walls on every corner but things don’t make sense since you see room numbers mixed, for example room 321 was on the third floor right in front of rooms that were supposed to be in the fourth floor. There’s a pool, it was full of people when we checked in, the next morning you could smell the chloride from the third floor, the water wasn’t necessarily murky, but certainly not crystal clear and tempting. As for breakfast, the restaurant was still closed at 7:10AM, staff were inside and they ran to open for us, nothing was ready, they where in some sort of meeting. We were the first guests of the day, supposedly the place was cleaned and ready for business, however, on the table assigned to us there were crumbs from the day before, he table cloth also had some visible food stains. The waiter realized I had noticed it and quickly removed the crumbs from the table with his hands. For me, they lost the cleanliness badge. You have to return the remote controls when you check out, still they held us there until someone went to check if the TV, bed sheets and towels were still in the rooms, and that we hadn’t broken anything, after someone checked the receptionist said we could leave. Lastly, on the service side, they lost it for me. They promised they would issue a fiscal invoice for the expenses we incurred during our stay.

Stay away from this hotel, especially if you want to get some rest after a whole-day trip. First thing: In a supposedly 4-star hotel, there is not a single person who speaks English. Even simple numbers are too difficult for the staff. Second, the food is horrible. Nothing to do with Mexican cuisine, barely edible. Third, music is played loud for almost the entire night and the rooms are located so close that you can't even take a short nap. But this all pales in comparison to the showers - for unknown reasons they installed a huge hole in the wall, going between shower cabin and rest of the room. After a few seconds all our belongings were wet. Because no one here knows English, it took a long time before we got someone clean up the mess. Of course, we couldn't get the other room and all we heard from staff was occasional laughter. Nightmare.
