We were only in the restaurant few times (we didn't stay in the hotel). The food was delicious, portions were big. We had to go back few times to enjoy that again. Staff members were professional. Took the orders quick and brought the drinks, food fast. We all felt welcome in the venue and we felt great. Family owned business and feels good to support a local business, specially that which looks after its customers and appreciate them. The only thing I missed is a menu with english language as well. But everything was fine.
The rooms are spacious and clean, no complaints, we were there for only 1 night. The restaurant deserves special mention. The food is delicious, the menu choice is very rich, lots of national dishes, the serving time is fast, we ended up eating there three times in two days and were not even looking for other options
We stayed in this hotel as a family for a week with half-board option. To start with the positive, the location directly on the slope is really good and the breakfast was good. But this is very the positive stops. Please note this is not a 4-star hotel. The rooms are outdated, pillows are old and aside from a friendly receptionist, the staff did not once smile during our stay and barely said hello nor made eye contact. There is also no common area where you can stay after dinner nor a playroom for the children. Everything ends at 9 and the only thing you can do is go to sleep. Breakfast is between 7 and 10 but if you come at 9 you are already feel you came too late. The worst part though is dinner. Throughout the whole week we did not have one decent meal. The soup and desert were decent but the main dish was outrageously bad- no taste, poor quality of ingredients and portions of kids size. I have been coming to Austria all my life and never experienced such low quality food. Definitely not value for money.I was surprised to experience this as I saw reviews were good but then I looked closer and while older reviews are good, the more recent ones less so. It seems that the hotel changed ownership and the quality went down. We also noticed that most guests came for less than a week so if you have no other place to go,I suggest to only go for breakfast option and lower expectations when it comes to rooms and hospitality of staff. A shame as I loved the ski area and will definitely come back but not to this hotel. Finally, when checking out, nobody asked to hear about our impressions so I truly hope the management will read this and try to invest in the quality of service, staff training (and their satisfaction at work) and better chefs. This place could be nice with some efforts from the owners.
