The location is fantastic. Right outside Charles bridge. Staff were lovely. Building and the interior are beautiful. Love the homely feeling. Beds are comfortable and big. We are definitely coming back here and would highly recommend it. Nightclub is a great feature. It was quiet when we went downstairs, but the atmosphere was great.
Despite the fact that Prague is a beautiful city, I still had a bit of a bad taste in my mouth at the end, for example at this hotel-restaurant where I had lunch outside and where they charged 12% of the total amount as a tip without asking and they then also had the audacity to put on the receipt "suggested tip amounts are provided for your convenience 12.5%" I have nothing against giving a tip but to force it down your throat in such a way without giving you the choice to decide whether or not you want to give a tip I find downright scandalous. But I guess that will be my interpretation, it also happened at other places, only there they asked in advance if I wanted to implement a tip or not... I also want to note that what I got on my plate at this restaurant, a club sandwich, was also nothing to write home about. In short, a very bad experience, furthermore the staff takes plates and glasses from your table without asking if you are finished with them or not... a bit strange.
This is a very disappointing hotel. Construction is underway right at the entrance, so there is cement dust flying around. It is really dirty and unsanitary, so I am worried that I will have to stay there for 4 days. Wifi speed very slow. I think it will be a bad memory for my trip to Prague.
