I've stayed at this hotel for a night as a part of my business trip to Podgorica. The hotel itself is fairly modern and clean-looking. I am not aware of the prices per night per person. Rooms: My room was on the normal side when it comes to sizing for hotels with this many stars. Though it lacked conditioning, or at least i was unable to turn it on. There is a panel on the wall, but it didn't seem to do much. My room lacked coffee/tea and a cattle, which is common in 4 star hotels. Bathroom is also very modern, but the walk-in shower has a weird drain, and i see it making a mess with a longer shower. Bed is comfortable, but it had too many pillows, and nowhere to store them properly. All these are personal issues, that don't really reflect the room. There was a strange loud noise coming and going throughout the night, and i had to play music over it just to sleep. That was my biggest complaint. Breakfast: The restaurant is very beautiful and staff is nice. The food though, it was just bad. I always go for as much variety as possible, and there was not much to chose from. Overall the food itself was bad, and coffee barely drinkable. I just couldn't finish mine. I don't know, i really didn't like any of it. Croissants were nice, and i stuck with those. Overall: The hotel is fine. As i don't know the price, i cannot comment on that matter, and therefore don't know if i can recommend staying here, as i already stayed at better hotels in Podgorica.
Were there with friends for coffee, that was good. It seems to me that the hotel has an issue with the ventilation system, because the smell of air freshener from WC was strong in the café area.
We ended up here as our flight got canceled and the airline gave us this hotel for a night. As a plan-b flight was only available another day later we had to stay a 2nd night. We informed the reception staff on day one that we like to sleep in, under all circumstances. I.e. even if the airline didn't pay for the 2nd night – we'd cover it. And they wrote it down. At 9:30am the room's phone rang and reception woke us up to inform us the airline wouldn't pay. Yes, you read right. They could not wait until we're awake. They ignored the written note (or maybe it was lost?) the receptionist took the day before about letting us sleep in. But the best was the last bit of the conversation on the phone: I: We specifically asked to not call us so we can sleep in. Reception: Yes, now you can sleep. The level of ineptitude required for this conversation to take place borders on the imbecilic. And as we both were robbed of 2.5hs of sleep we mean that in a very caring way. I guess that's the difference between a four and five star hotel. The last star is for intelligence. Because of the above we asked for a complimentary late check-out on Sunday. The lady at the front desk, the same person who woke us up early, said she would get back to us in 10mins. That never happened. When we asked a different woman at the front desk later that day she said we'd have to pay 30€ extra for the sleep-in. Most three star hotels I stayed at in my life did better jobs at customer satisfaction. Way better.
