Hotel Valley Ho

We had a fantastic five-day stay at the Valley Ho Hotel. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, was friendly, welcoming, and courteous. The valets were so fast and efficient we never had to wait for our car to be brought to us. The front desk staff warmly welcomed us and then greeted us each time we passed the desk. The room was so large and lovely! I absolutely cannot wait to go back next year when we make our annual trip from our home in Texas. I have seen this hotel many times in past visits and always thought, “That looks like a cool hotel,” but this was our first time to stay there. Now I cannot imagine staying anywhere but the Valley Ho!

Took a little birthday vacation by myself and so glad I chose Valley Ho! They let me check in at 11am, which is unheard of. Really appreciated it, especially coming in July where it's in the 110°, you really need an air conditioned room. The room was clean and had character to it. The bathtub in the middle of the room kinda threw me off at first but did not bother me one bit. I really loved the light controlled mirrors. The pool was nice and big, really enjoyed a drink by the pool. Coming in during off season has its perks, as there are less guests. The Zuzu was great too. Everyone was lovely, and I will definitely recommend coming here. It's really close to the Old Town Scottsdale as well, so super convenient. If you don't mind walking a bit in the heat, it's very close to the fashion square, the shops, good brunch and dinner spots.

Myself and a friend just returned after having spent 5 days here. Let me start with the good. The staff is amazing! Everybody is kind, courteous, and friendly. The property itself is nice. I wouldn't call it luxury but it was nice. The rooms were also very clean. Here's why I will NEVER return to this resort. On the weekends, they allow people who are not staying at the resort to purchase day passes to hang out at the pool. What that brings is a bunch of undesirables. Specifically, creepy old men who come by themselves looking to pick up women. My girlfriend and I just wanted to sit in the pool, have some drinks and relax. That wasn't always possible due to either some creepy guy swimming through the pool like a shark to come approach us, or worse, swinging couples feeling you out to see if you were up for the same fun they were looking for. Additionally, because they allow outsiders in the resort on weekends, they keep a security guard by the pool. As a result, even if you are staying at the resort, every time you leave the pool area, upon your return, you are subject to a bag search. That is outrageous to me. Does this hotel not have a way to differentiate between who actually paid to stay there overnight versus these daily visitors/ outsiders? This is not a place that I would ever visit again nor would I recommend it to anyone. It only got the stars that it did because the staff truly was wonderful. It's not their fault that this place is practically running a brothel. LOL. (An exaggeration but you get the point). My advice is to keep looking if you're thinking about visiting Scottsdale.
