My husband and I recently had our wedding at Hotel Vandivort and it was truly a magical experience. We had a multi day stay, the rooms were beautiful, clean, and staff was attentive and helpful. We had our rehearsal dinner there as well, the room was beautifully decorated, and the food was delicious. Jacob Shaw was our event coordinator for our entire wedding weekend, and I am so grateful for his help! Jacob has an excellent customer service, attention to detail, and he was incredibly accommodating. He has a great team as well that really helped us in so many ways from the allergies, to little decor details, to tape for wedding party! :) Our wedding was so beautiful, and everything went so perfectly. Once again, the food was delicious! The venue is beautiful in itself, but it's made even better by the wonderful staff. If you're looking for a venue for your next event, I highly recommend going with Hotel Vandivort.
We stayed here on our way to and from Michigan. Best hotel in the area. Staff was always friendly by phone or in person. The building has a lot of character since it was built in 1906. It’s renovated but kept its charm. Rooftop bar is really cool a great view and the restaurant was top notch. Recommend the fried chicken appetizer.
Expectations - Online this placed looked awesome. Reasonably priced for a hotel that looked upscale. The bad - Do not stay here if you had a day full of activities and are expecting a good night of sleep. The amount of noise outside (groups of people to constant revving of engines and cars racing up and down the streets until 2 am) made it nearly impossible to settle in. I think sound deadening material was left out of the specs during the build. I've stayed next to freeways and other downtown social areas and have never experienced this level of noise. The good - Hotel itself does have a very cool vibe and look. Room was also very cool design. Shower was very spacious, had good pressure and was hot. Staff were very nice. Unfortunately the inability to rest well after a long day took away from the positives.
