Hotel Verbenicum

The hotel was beautiful and the staff were super helpful and accommodating. They even made us a packed breakfast for our very early checkout. The room was well decorated and cleaned every day whilst we had breakfast. The room was a tad small so we had to be tidy with our huge amount of luggage. But the view from the balcony was stunning. The beach was just a few minutes away but it was often so crowded that we preferred the quiet and comfort of the hotel pool which was spotless.

Great hotel. Small enough for a guest to feel recognised by the staff. Beds very comfortable and, as you might expect from somewhere calling itself a design hotel, there are a number of quirky details to be discovered, both in the rooms and the common areas. We had a room on the front of the hotel (room 16) and the view was great and the ambience quiet with only the tweeting of birds and the church clock striking the hour. I think we were the only Brits there - other guests were all German-speakers. All staff speak good English.

We spent 10 days in this quiet hotel with great sea views. There is a big, quiet swimming pool, with a lot of sun beds. The town centre can be easily reached by foot in 10 minutes. What stroke us was the friendliness of the staff. The atmosphere between them was amazing; it was like a big family. We had fun with the identical twin brothers who served as bar tender, waiter and pool guy. They seemed to be everywhere. I forgot my Airpods in the safe deposit and they sent it to me without any costs. We will certainly return!
