Hotel Via Veneto

Had an “interesting” stay. Cant see how it’s a 5 star hotel - marks on walls, and sounded like some sort of animal (pigeon maybe) scratching around in the ceiling space. Charges were added to our room bill for drinks from the mini bar (we didn’t take anything from the mini bar) - thankfully this was wiped from our bill. Paid the city tax with credit card when we checked in (which was advertised as 6€ p/p per night in our original booking, but ended up being charged 10€ p/p per night), then when we checked out were told it was still needing to be paid. This was also cleared up, however it seems like there is perhaps a bit of a lack of organisation. Regardless, all of the staff were lovely.

This is not a five star hotel maybe not even a four star one. It doesn’t meet the requirements for a five and it’s honestly sad how people want to have a good time at an hotel that seems up to standards just to have those same people post one-star reviews afterwards. Avoid it at all costs!

This hotel is solid 3 star not 5 star, customer service and attitude of the lady at the reception is terrible, starting from taking photos of out passports on personal phone to absolute absence of manager or anyone responsible to solve the customer problem and make a decision. The hotel is a pure scam, we paid full price for three nights and decided not to stay there and left after 30 minutes, it was disgusting to have trash bins and a pile of trash practically blocking our windows. This is unacceptable for a 5 star hotel, both customer service and the quality of the rooms are repulsive.
