Hotel Victoria Merida

WHAT AN ADVENTURE!!! Everything was amazing during my stay. The location of the hotel is near so many things...the restaurants, the bakery with daily/fresh pastries and bread, the hospital, the malls, the monuments, the beaches, etc. The room, service and location was totally worth 2 weeks and I can't wait to go back. Housekeeping actually provided fresh, clean linen and cleaned the room spotless daily. The atmosphere allowed me to take my early morning walks while enjoying the view of statues and monuments. The streets had perfect lighting and the air was clean and crisp. The staff mainly spoke Spanish but tried there best to accommodate me by speaking slowly. If I had trouble understanding them we used technology via apps to help communicate conversations & questions smoothly. The staff at the hotel and restaurant on site made my stay memorable and made me feel like family not a guest. PLEASE VISIT!!!

Everything was perfect for this price - great value. We usually stay at a bigger hotel nearby but was always curious about this little hotel that is a gem. Best location. We had a cute personal terrace where we could eat daily that overlooked the amazing Paseo Montejo with the horse carriages and people jogging, walking etc.. we used the rooftop jacuzzi daily when not on the beach. The staff were so lovely and totally had an old school vibe where valets open doors for you. The only small things were the beds were a bit on the hard side and some towels were worn out but compared to everything else. Also great coffee shop across the street Justo and Pan Montejo bakery - so many restaurants and a Walmart where you can buy ie purified water.

A resort-like experience without the resort cost near the beautiful Centro Merida. The staff deserve the highest praises because they are all so kind and the room and building were stunning!!! The hot tub was also great but minerals from the water do get into the tub and this is not the fault of the staff as I saw in previous reviews. I assure you the rooms are very clean and this building is kept in pretty immaculate condition as far as I can tell. The restaurant inside is also fantastic, that provided excellent service and the food/drinks were great and very affordable.
