Hotel Viking

Thank you to the whole staff at The Viking for making our stay a wonderful experience. From the warm welcome of your valets to the friendly market staff & housekeepers everyone was very friendly & welcoming. Upon arrival (valets work late) we received an upgraded room, and our experience just kept getting better. With every interaction, pleasantries were exchanged & questions were thoughtfully answered considering our age & mobility. Due to our mobility issues, we often need a lot of information or assistance to get the most out of visits. This type of real time information on distances, sidewalk conditions & seating availability can be invaluable, that only hotel staff can supply in real time. Your staff genuinely shined in this category, explaining our transportation options, retrieving items from our car, addressing dietary issues and discussing preferences. We would definitely stay in your hotel when in the area again. Thank You All.

We just checked out after a 3 night stay for a business trip with my husband’s company. We found the staff very friendly. Willing to help with our bags and offered water every time we entered the hotel. Only downside was our final evening there the a/c went out in our room. At 1:30 AM I finally went down and asked what could be done. The man behind the counter was very helpful, switched out our room within 10 minutes and had a service member come up to deliver our keys so we didn’t have to walk down to get them. We would definitely stay again. It’s very convenient to all the places that are a must see when you visit downtown Newport. The rooftop bar and courtyard were beautiful as well.

Really nice historic hotel with modern upgrades. The rooms are very spacious and clean. We had coffee and breakfast at the market in the morning and then headed off.. We walked to the International Tennis Hall of Fame, the Cliff Walk and town for some shopping. The hotel had bicycles that we used to bike to the mansions which was so awesome. We walked to the Wharf area for dinner and cocktails. Amazing few days in Newport!
