Hotel Vila Lumbung

Due to the low cost in comparison to other resorts in Bali, we booked went with low expectations, we wanted a quiet, short getaway not to far from the airport yet away from the crowds.. and that is exactly what we got along with a wonderful welcome. The staff here were like a family. Nothing was to much trouble and they seemed to genuinely love working there. The place was comfortable, charming and non pretentious. If you want chic and sophisticated, look elsewhere. This is old style relax with a beer at the swim up bar and just let the atmosphere drift over you. The small hotel and villas are in the heart of Seminyak and away from the beach however the lush and mature trees surrounding the place act as sound proofing from the busy world beyond the gate. Perfect for an extra long weekend away, especially for those from Oz.

Wonderful experience at Hotel Vila Lumbung. Great atmosphere, people, service and staff. They are all so friendly, welcoming and helpful, always smiling. I had a wonderful birthday day there, starting from breakfast, where they brought me a lovely birthday cake and sang happy birthday. Also, breakfast is amazing, few different options every day, and the restaurant is beautiful. Had breakfast everyday with a great view from the pool and the nature around. Pool is large and beautiful, the facilities around and pool bar are great! Bed is very nice and comfortable, great room as well. I wish having more time in Bali so I could spend more time at the hotel, once I only had a week and couldn’t really stay at the hotel. Would definitely come back with more free time and enjoy all the facilities and lovely service. Hotel Vila Lumbung is totally worth it for the value and I would recommend it to everyone going to Bali!

Great overall, facilities and pool (bit murky needs more chemicals) had a really nice experience. Rooms traditional and a bit dated, limited wifi reception/speed. Staff are lovely with good value transport options and a nice Italian restaurant and spa at entrance to driveway. Bit of a walk to beach but to be honest it’s not a great beach and better to go south to two double six beach by car/bike.
