Hotel Vilamarí

Overall, I was satisfied with my stay in Hotel Vilamari. The location was very good, and I had an interior room, so no noise from the street, which were my two main criteria. The hotel was also clean, modern, and chic. The kettle and mini-bar in the room were also a convenient touch. However, for a 4-star hotel, certain aspects should be improved : -I ordered room service, because I wanted to eat dinner quickly. As the hotel has a restaurant/kitchen, I thought it would only take 15 minutes to arrive, but it turns out that the room service is made by an outside catering company, so it took an hour to arrive and was cold, which was quite inconvenient. -Although there is no noise from the street, the soundproofing inside the hotel could be improved. From my room, I could hear the ding of the elevator and people talking loudly in the hallways late at night. The doors slam shut quite loudly, so they should put some foam to soften the noise. -There seems to be a problem with the bathroom. You can hear when someone flushes the toilet in another room and it creates a loud noise of running water. It also seemed that the faucet was leaking sometimes, and there was an unpleasant odor coming from the bathroom. -TV did not work – there was a problem with the cable.

3 stars because the experience feels more like 3 star Hotel than 4 stars that currently has. The basic room was really old (smell of mold, scratched floor, remarks on the wall, toilet details...). The staff was really friendly and doing their best providing whatever we asked for trying to make our staying a bit more pleasant.

The service was good, and the staff were very accommodating during both check-in and check-out. However, the room was far too small for the price, and unfortunately, it wasn't protected from mosquitoes. A mosquito woke me up during my one-night stay, and it seems previous guests had this issue too (judging by the hints on the wall). Because of this, I wouldn't come back here again, even though the staff were very friendly.
