Great place to stay well priced and includes breakfast. Great service from really friendly people who make you feel at home and nothing is too much for them. The owner Michele is awesome. Definitely recommend.
breakfast and cleaning staff are lovely, however the woman who we checked in with not so much. We received a room that was facing main road, when I asked if there were other rooms as it was loud and distracting, we were told they’d check for tomorrow, we were not relocated and staff avoided us a lot over the week. Just know that the pictures they show are not what the rooms truly look like, and there is a smell of mould coming from a lot of the old furniture. Mini bar fridge is not cold at all the drinks felt warm. Shower is very weak pressure and stays at same lukewarm temperature. furthermore we saw that most other rooms had outside areas to sit, while ours was next to entrance and we had no quiet outdoor area which was disappointing. As it is a seaside town it would’ve been beneficial to have drying racks for our clothes, however because we had no place to hang things in the outside air, we had to make do hanging our wet clothes in shower room. Frustrating to pay same price as other guests yet get a small and less comfortable room/stay. I think we were given the worst room. door opened directly onto reception and main entrance area so not having our own personal area made us feel uncomfortable at times. Hairdryer barely worked and smelt like burning. other than it being a nice area close to the rest of town, I do not understand how this is a 4 star hotel, more like 1 star. We also couldn’t open our window without everyone on the Main Street being able to see into our room, so safety and comfort was not a priority to the staff for us.
Beautiful villa from the outside, disappointing inside. The location is great — almost in the centre and very close to all restaurants. Breakfast was absolutely stunning, with excellent service and a lovely seating area. This was the only thing that made our stay even slightly positive. Negatives: The room was extremely small, dirty, and had mould on the walls — a serious health hazard. The mattress was cheap and impossible to sleep on. The towels are more than 10 years old ,light does not work .The bed cover was full of stains of different origins, pillows were thin and worn out, and the whole room felt very old, outdated, and neglected. They call it “rustic” style, but in reality, it has nothing to do with rustic charm and everything to do with dirt, poor cleaning, and an awful smell. Water was switched off at night to fill the reservoir, so we had no water before going to bed. No one at reception spoke English. Overall, everything in this villa was horrible except for the breakfast — which was so well managed and organised it could easily belong in a luxury hotel, not in this damp, unpleasant place.
