Our stay at Campomaggio was a truly special experience. The property is rich in history—set in a centuries-old building that’s been beautifully restored into a hotel—offering a perfect blend of old-world charm and modern comfort. The grounds are absolutely stunning, with breathtaking views of the Tuscan landscape in every direction. The spa was one of the highlights for us—spacious, beautifully designed, and connected to the outdoors, creating a peaceful and rejuvenating environment. We also enjoyed the on-site restaurant, which served delicious food in a lovely setting. The staff were warm and kind, always making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, this was one of the most serene and scenic places we’ve stayed, and we’d happily return. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and picturesque Tuscan retreat.

Looked forward to this leg of our stay in Tuscany Italy the most. Some disappointments though... stayed 3 nights. What was GOOD -Fabulous staff, everyone was amazing, from the reception to the restaurant & cleaning staff. A big high five to them. -Beautiful old building nicely renovated inside and steeping with history with vineyard and pool view -Sauna & Spa -Room is comfortable with clean linen and towels -Netflix, necessary due to secluded location. NOT Good- -Guests have to drag luggage along gravel then uphill a long driveway, no help, bad signage, confusing entry. Not for people with mobility issues. -NO complimentary water and no refills. At €2 per little bottle plastic bottle. (hotel is not worrying about the environment here, only with trying not to replace towels, not a good look. -no English channels not even news. -No wine glasses or drinking water glasses, just plastic glasses again. -No Tea or coffee in the room nor available till breakfast at 8.(1st hotel I've ever stayed at where this is not available for guests) -Noisy outside our room every evening -No room service and not allowed to have food in the room! If not for the great staff it would get 3 stars. Personally I prob would have preferred to stay in one of the villages with options of restaurants and cafés

We loved the pool area, the lush greenery, and how beautifully maintained the outdoor spaces were. The room was a bit dark but cosy and comfortable overall. However, getting from the car park to the hotel was difficult, and there was no help offered. While the staff were kind, they weren’t particularly helpful. Breakfast was decent but heavily overpriced—just like most services at the property. The elevator wasn’t working, so we had to carry our suitcases from the second floor ourselves, and when we called for assistance, we were simply told, “there’s nothing we can do.” There was also no iron in the room, only an expensive ironing service that required a full day.
