We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Villa Margherita in Sardinia. The location is excellent – you'll definitely need a car, but it's well worth it. The breakfast was delicious and the staff were incredibly kind and welcoming. The pool area and garden access give the hotel an exclusive and relaxing feel. With only a limited number of rooms, the atmosphere is quiet and personal. The hotel is located in a peaceful, small former fishing village that offers many dining options – especially great for seafood and fish lovers, though you’ll also find plenty of good pizza. We visited in late April/early May and found it very calm and relaxing, with plenty of available parking. You can even hike up the nearby hill for a beautiful view. Our room was excellent, and we had a lovely sea view. Highly recommended!
Immaculately presented hotel in one of the best locations on the island. Wonderful sea-view rooms overlooking the bay, with large balconies and high quality furnishings & fittings. Well stocked minibar, safe and comp toiletries. Welcoming, helpful staff, a nice bar, great pool, sunbeds with push-button service for drinks and a good amount of lounge areas. Breakfast served until 11, so there is no need to set your alarm! Superb gardens, plenty of parking and an excellent late check out of midday as standard. Good gym area and quality massage services. Great location - right next to the beach and close to the ferry port and town (all within a couple of minutes walk). We really felt like the hotel team were focused on us enjoying our holiday - and we did! We will be returning for sure.
I have stayed in hundreds of hotels, cheaper and some way more expensive. This one is probably my favorite due to a mix of good management, excellent (but excellent) staff, beautifully decorated and comfortable rooms, the amazing views, the quiet little town, the lush gardens and the perfect breakfast. I never go back to a hotel, but to this one I just might.
