Hotel Villa Medici

Excellent hotel in a charming small town I was pleasantly surprised by this hotel! I accompanied my husband on a work training trip and found a lovely, green-surrounded hotel with great amenities. The rooms were spacious, the bathroom very clean, and the breakfast was excellent. The reception staff was incredibly kind and welcoming. The gym, although small (typical of most hotels), was very modern — with a treadmill and a few weights — and allowed for a quality workout. The sauna area was also a highlight, offering three types: Finnish, steam, and infrared. They were off in the morning, but as soon as I asked, someone came promptly to turn them on. The hotel is about a 20-minute walk from the city’s main train station, but there’s a bus stop right in front. It’s also located across from the city’s well-known thermal baths (I didn’t visit, but it’s worth noting). A large, beautiful park is nearby, and there are some nice dining options around — including a good Italian restaurant and a kebab spot about 10 minutes away on foot. Highly recommended — everything was of excellent quality!

This hotel property is better than expected in every respect. An in-room mini refrigerator would have been nice, but, all else perfect! Convenient parking & friendly staff! Rooms are clean & very well maintained!

Very nice hotel with spacious rooms. Breakfast is recommendable. We have used this location for the Ironman race and it's absolutely convenient. They were very thoughtful of the race: early breakfast in the weekend and a separate dinner menu for athletes. The only thing that was missing was some coffee or tea in the room.
