Hotel Villa Paradiso

Hotel Villa Paradiso is a beautiful older building in a perfect location in town adjacent to gardens and on the scenic road overlooking the water. It is a great place to stay and a good base for the town. We had originally booked an apartment about a 20-30 min walk up the hill above town and I’m very glad we switched. The lobby retains the old charm and character but the rooms are renovated with modern finishes. We had five people spread across two rooms on the 1st and 3rd floors and both had great views of the water and gardens from small balconies with chairs for two people. The beds were comfortable and the shower was larger than typical. The staff - especially Francesco - were extremely helpful arranging for valet service for the car, and providing recommendations for both restaurants and visiting the Saracen castle above town. The rooftop bar performs double duty for both happy hour and breakfast and the buffet was one of the best and largest we’ve had recently with a good mix of items. The only knock was the A/C. It was a good system and did a good job cooling the room in a real heat wave, but the hotel has recently installed a keyless entry and - if the room key card was not pushed in exactly right - then the air would kick off. We figured it out. In summary, we would absolutely stay here again.

My husband & I stayed at the Hotel Villa Paradiso in Taormina on June 15th through June 18th. We had the nicest room I believe they had! We had a sea view (glorious night & day views!) which also had a stand alone tub in a step up level, in addition to a luxurious bathroom with a walk in shower. The amenities were amazing! We had a nice breakfast every morning on the top level with open windows to enjoy the spectacular views, we went up every evening for a drink & to watch the sun go down on this adorable city on the hill in Taormina Sicily. We found all the locals to be welcoming, warm & happy to help out. We visited a local pastry up & around the corner from the hotel. Anything you need is within walking distance from this beautiful old hotel. The stall at the hotel were exemplary, helping us to find our local family that was showing us how to cook a classic Italian meal. Any request was taken care of asap. I am ready to return!!! Absolutely loved this hotel, the staff, and this gold nugget of a city.

What an absolute delight this place was! Every staff member exhibited tip-top service. We stayed at the end of May, and I'm sorry I've forgotten the name of the breakfast server, but he was phenomenal and a highlight of every day. Francesco was also stellar and treated us like family. Views from every balcony (2 rooms plus the breakfast area) were fantastic. We couldn't have enjoyed Villa Paradiso any more, unless only by staying longer. It was better than we hoped and we'd love to return. 10 out of 10 recommended!
