Hotel Villa Venezia

The hotel is located on a quiet street a short walk from the town center, the old town and the beach. The rooms are good size, some with balconies and clean. Staff is friendly, efficient and helpful.

I recently had an unfortunate experience with this Hotel. My father, a 70-year-old, booked what he believed to be a hotel room through Booking.com, only to later discover it was a self-catering apartment. The description on the booking platform appeared unclear and potentially misleading, especially for older guests who might not be familiar with such nuances. When I reached out to the hotel to explain the situation, I hoped for some understanding and flexibility, especially given the circumstances. Unfortunately, the hotel refused to issue a refund or even offer a more reasonable alternative. Instead, they only proposed a 20% discount on a future booking, which does not adequately address the issue. A full refund or a credit voucher with a small additional value would have been a fair and customer-oriented solution. Adding to the frustration, I found the hotel’s customer service to be difficult to reach by phone, which made resolving the issue even more challenging. While the property itself may have positive qualities, my experience dealing with the reservation process and the lack of goodwill from the management has been disappointing. I would advise future guests, to carefully review the booking details before finalizing, as flexibility and understanding may not be guaranteed.

The complimentary bikes were nice. The pictures make the hotel look much nicer than it actually is. The room was very small with old dark wooden furniture that you would find in your great grandmother’s house. No screens on the window. TV didn’t work. The breakfast was terrible. They brought out a plate a mixed whole uncut fruits that were ice cold and not yet ripe. Juices were not fresh squeezed. I’m very surprised this place is highly.
