This hotel was perfect for our requirements. Romantic, a little bit out of town, with all the facilities we require. The receptionist Claudia was so helpful throughout our stay. Our flight home was cancelled and the hotel quickly ensured we had a room for our additional time. The food was outstanding. Breakfast choice and quality blew us away. We did have dinner one night and this was perfect. A big shout out to Adrian for helping us choose a,great wine for our meal. Not sure what else to say. We loved the hotel, the staff and quality of everything. The shuttle service is a great option if like us, your feet are aching. Thank you again to Claudia. My wife and I will always remember your kindness and help.
Really enjoyed our short stay here while visiting Florence. The spa is to die for and we had sole use. Very much appreciated the room upgrade with river views very peaceful. We ate in restaurant the first night and it was delicious albeit too formal for my teenager! We chose this location because it wasn’t central but there are lots of roadworks which impact taxi costs and the bookable but free transfer service only works set hours so you need a taxi back if you want to be in the centre in the evening. We found some local restaurants across the river which were good however.
Ville sull’Arno is a charming hotel. The room was lovely, especially the spacious bathroom. I had informed the hotel in advance via email about charging my EV, and they took care of it right away – excellent service! The staff at the reception and those handling the vehicles were very friendly and helpful. Charging costs €25 and parking is €26 per day, which does add up quickly. Unfortunately, the poolside service didn’t quite match the rest of the hotel. No one was checking whether loungers were actually occupied, and guests often left their towels behind. On two days, there were no fresh towels available at the pool, and it took several minutes for staff to bring new ones. The biggest disappointment: €16 for an Aperol Spritz at the pool. That’s simply excessive. In fact, during my two days there, I didn’t see anyone ordering drinks other than the occasional €5 cola. From a business perspective, that pricing just doesn’t make sense. Overall, a nice stay with excellent in-house service, but the poolside experience needs improvement – hence one star deducted.
