Hotel Vincci Liberdade

Wonderful staff and service: the front desk was always helpful and happy to assist whenever I had any needs. Tasty breakfast and great service: especially the manager, Jose with friendly kind smiles and warm greetings made every morning a wonderful start of the day. Great location in a quiet upscale neighbourhood. Room was comfortable with the best rain-down shower ever! Things need to approve: the water leaked to the floor from shower room. The dinner in the restaurant tasted below average. And couple waitresses were superficially friendly. It was not a good vibe to dine there that night. Very different from how it felt at the breakfast.

Room is big. Bed is very comfortable. High ceiling, big window. Location is prime. But it’s a shame that the service doesn’t match at all. Especially, few staff working at the front desk. One black guy’s attitude is horrible.

The hotel itself is in a good location, central and the room is comfortable and quiet. There is a nice little pool in the back. However, the rolm lacked a working chair. The problem I had was more the service relating to late checkout. My flight was very delayed but they had zero flexibility with late checkout. I always am able to get it by paying a bit extra in competitive hotels. I believe there was room availability. The front desk on the morning of April 10 morning and the evening of April 9 was professional but cold. I didn't feel an effort was made to accommodate guest issues or empathize with them. This rigidity also applies to check in which takes a very long time. The hotel feels a bit soulless.
