Great Hotel, ski in ski out last week :-) Estar at reception and all staff were very helpful throughout our five night stay. Very nice rooms mix modern facilities with chalet charm. Huge breakfast choice with snowy mountain views - better for being higher in the resort. Free shuttle down town and back always available at 10 mins notice - we used it many times. Free hot chocolate and cake after skiing. We never managed to get to the spa as too busy skiing.......

We enjoyed our stay here. Stayed a couple of nights. Will be back. Only things we would see as standard is free access to the spa area at least when staying in a junior suite or better. For us having 2 rooms and travel with kids it would be above 100 €/day for having a sauna after skiing.. crack. Something that of course should be complimentary at a 5* hotel. As Swedes that is the most basic thing. Plus add more yoghurts at breakfast. Should of course also be there in buckets like Activia. And have a decent dress code in the restaurant. Seeing loosers there in flipflops isnt 5*-class.. And finally maybe time for an update of at least one of the trucks for the complimentary transport. Otherwise - we enjoyed our stay a lot! Better than both Melia for sure even if the location isn’t the best.

Terrible Experience – Avoid This Hotel Our stay at Hotel Da Vinci in Sierra Nevada was a complete disappointment. Right from the start, we had to wait an hour to check in because one of their computers wasn’t working. The reception staff was unfriendly and unhelpful, making the whole process even worse. The room itself was old and in desperate need of renovation. It had a terrible smell, and the air quality was so bad that we woke up with headaches. To make matters worse, the temperature was completely uneven—one side of the room was freezing, while the other was too hot. There was no complimentary water, which is a basic amenity in most hotels. Sleeping was nearly impossible due to all these issues, and on top of that, there were no views from the room. The location of the hotel is another huge downside. It’s at the very top of Sierra Nevada, far away from everything. There are no restaurants, no shops—nothing around. The only way to get to the village is by chairlift, which closes at 5 PM and shuts down frequently due to wind. The hotel does offer transportation, but it’s a joke—an old truck that only runs at specific times and requires advance reservation. We had a private event at the Maribel Hotel and asked for a ride, but they refused. Since there are no taxis, Ubers, or any other transport options in Sierra Nevada, we had no way of getting there and missed the event—a total disaster. Service overall was terrible. The staff was not friendly, barely spoke English, and didn’t care about guests’ needs. This was easily one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve had. We will never go back and strongly advise others to stay elsewhere.
