Hotel Virrey Park

We had a good overnight stay here. The beds and bathroom facilities were ok. The hotel is located in a nice quiet area with lots of greenery. The staff are helpful and nice. The rooms are somewhat dated and noisy. Furthermore, the breakfast is good and the Italian restaurant is very good.

The place is extremely run down. There are stains on the carpet, we had to use shoes or sandals in the room. The door frame was broken, seemed that someone had kicked the door down previously. The shower has mold in the grout. It really doesn't get maintained much. My wife was pretty upset that I chose to save $20 and stay at this hotel. The location is great, but spend the extra money and stay at the neighboring Jazz or B3 hotels. They are similar price and location but much much nicer.

Great location and great staff and great restaurants below. But the rooms have no AC. The beds are hard as a rock worst I've ever had. and the walls are paper thin. You can hear the entire street below. The water heater barely works and sometimes the water cuts out. The bathroom floods it has no drainage so the floor stays wet for hours. The lights in my friends room would flicker. And half the outlets in the room don't work. The mini fridge in my room did not work.
