Beautiful scenery, good onsen, amazing and spacious room. The market and resturant nearby are worth a whole day to explore. Perfect place for city break, families trip or couples.
I spent my first night at VISON in a room at Hotel VISON with an open-air bathtub. The room was clean and beautifully designed, and I could enjoy the fresh air and stunning view right from the balcony. It was such a lovely place.
This hotel was a major letdown, far from a high-end resort. Most staff lack English skills, causing delays for non-Japanese speakers at check-in and restaurants. Even English-speaking staff seemed reluctant to assist foreigners, explaining facilities and promotions only to Japanese guests, which felt unfair. Disruptive behavior—drunkenness, noise, and jostling by some Japanese guests—went unchecked, making it feel like a budget hotel. Communication was nearly impossible; Google Translate was ineffective, and staff were often unresponsive. The room was subpar, not matching advertised quality. Some facilities went unnoticed until nearly closed due to poor communication, adding to the frustration. With such poor service, the hotel’s cost-performance ratio is extremely low. The long drive was a big waste. Japanese guests might enjoy it, but foreigners should think twice. I won’t return.
