I recently stayed at this hotel and overall, the experience was very pleasant. The rooms were clean, well-appointed, and comfortable. I want to give a special shoutout to Adam, who worked as both the bell boy and valet—he was incredibly kind, attentive, and made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Unfortunately, our experience wasn’t entirely seamless. When we tried to rebook another night for our stay, we were told we couldn’t receive the same rate because we had originally booked through a third party. The only reason we wanted to extend our stay was because we had booked nonrefundable massage services for the following day—something we weren’t informed about at the time of purchase. This created a frustrating situation: we couldn’t justify paying a much higher rate just to stay the extra night, but we were also stuck with nonrefundable spa appointments. As a result, we had to leave and then return later in the day, which felt like a waste of time and disrupted our plans to explore the city. I wish the hotel had communicated the spa policy more clearly and made a better effort to accommodate returning guests under the same rate. That said, the quality of the rooms and the excellent service from staff like Adam made a strong impression.

My wife and I stayed two nights at Hotel Vistabella in the Penthouse Suite, paying nearly $700 per night for this advertised 5-star hotel. Expecting top-tier service and accommodations, we were quickly disappointed. Check-in was slow and disorganized, culminating in being charged twice for our stay, which required correction. The process suggested a lack of coordination in handling payments. Upon entering our room, the terrace overlooking the sea was breathtaking, and the views were undeniably spectacular. However, the room itself was outdated, with a cheap-looking bed and furniture that felt out of place or in need of replacement. Two complimentary coffee pods were provided, but a note indicated additional pods would cost €2 each—a detail that felt petty for a 5-star property. After resolving a Wi-Fi issue, we returned from lunch to find the door lock malfunctioning. I contacted reception, who seemed already irritated from the Wi-Fi complaint. They sent a courteous bellboy to address the lock, but he was unable to fix it. Frustrated by the lack of updates, I visited reception, only to be met with rudeness and annoyance for inquiring about the situation. Eventually, the hotel owner was called to the room. Instead of offering a simple apology, he became defensive, stating, "Things break. Doors break, TVs break." As a guest, I found this dismissive and unprofessional—I expected an apology and a solution, not excuses. Feeling disrespected, I expressed my frustration with the lack of customer service and the owner’s attitude. After a defensive argument, he acknowledged the door couldn’t be fixed and moved us to a slightly upgraded room. I believe he realized his approach was unacceptable. Later, a bottle of champagne arrived with an apology, which I appreciated, but it didn’t erase the fact that this was the worst treatment I’ve ever experienced from hotel management. The new room was marginally better, featuring a nice hot tub, but the furniture still felt cheap, and the bed was uncomfortable—not what you expect from a 5-star hotel. Breakfast was satisfactory but unremarkable, with food quality suggesting cost-cutting measures. However, the breakfast staff were kind and accommodating, and they could teach the owner a lesson in customer service. Ultimately, I do not recommend Hotel Vistabella. The stunning views do not compensate for the subpar customer service, outdated rooms, and overall lack of 5-star quality.

3 star hotel pretending to be 5 star. The upside: next to a nice beach (but not as nice as the one 5 minutes walk away). The downside: outdated facilities that don’t justify to be 5 star hotel, very unfriendly service, and chronic lack of water. They give you a 150ml bottle for free and then you pay 3.5eur for the 0.5l water bottle. Water at breakfast in tiny glasses. Valet service is kind of pointless given the parking is just in front and you wait like and idiot for your car to arrive and then have to drive back past where it came from. Breakfast is the same every day and lacks diversity. Food is obviously overpriced. But the egg guy at breakfast deserves a promotion! The 4-star hotel next door though is highly recommended.
