Hotel Vitalis by Amedia

For less than 55 euros a night I got a large room with comfortable twin beds, large window, couch, table with chairs and a lot of space to move around. There was a separate dressing/luggage room with shelves. Bathroom was tight but fine for practical purposes. Location excellent and very quiet at night. Surprised at the dissatisfaction in the reviews.

I booked two nights at this hotel and only stayed for one night. The heat and humidity in the room was unbearable in July. It was hotter in my room than it was outside. The heat was just too unbearable and I had to book another hotel. My room had a balcony door I could open but it was broken, missing 2 hinges. Almost fell right off when we first opened it. Had to leave the balcony door open all night and even that wasn't good enough. My husband and I had a terrible sleep in the heat. Despite the lack of air conditioning, the room was very spacious compared to other hotels I've stayed at in Europe. A nice walk in closet. No safe in the room though. Bed was comfortable, but the pillows seriously need to be changed, very flat, no support. The location was not ideal. In a more residential area and farther from the city center. Not many restaurants around. Perhaps a good choice during the colder months, not in the summer.

It was a business trip in December. Only 1 night (was enough). I would for nobody recommend it. The room was cold and dirty. DIRTY. I think the bathroom was never cleaned. It was so smelly that I could not use it at all. Never Again. I've just took some picture about this "Motel". And this is the official name of this "fancy" room: "Premium Double or Twin Room Luxuriously furnished room with a renovated bathroom with shower. Some of these rooms have a balcony." Yes, it was renovated........... maybe in 1975 For this amount of money, my expectation is not so huge, but it must be clean, and the heating should work.
