Hospitality at its finest! Our trip began as a nightmare and made a complete turnaround during our 6 day stay at Walchseer Hof. Our flight was cancelled, the car rental place was closed by the time we arrived, luggage lost for 5 days, my Husband got sick and then I got sick. Georg, Maria, Sanja, the two women at breakfast and Steffan cared for us so well we felt like family. The location is idyllic. We had a view of the church and mountains from a generous sized patio/balcony. Walchseer Hof has a partnership with another hotel in walking distance to have lake access and use their recreational equipment. We had the serenity and tranquility of Walchseer Hof with the benefits of a hotel that is more like a busy zoo. We took an easy boat rental across the lake, walked around the entire lake and rented bikes to explore the area. The location is central for day trips: Kufstein, Innsbruck, Salzburg and Munich. So much to explore! The meals are organic, locally sourced and prepared with great detail. By the time we left we felt nursed back to life and had truly had a magical trip! We are very grateful to everyone at Walchseer Hof.
Great location and service in Austria. Tons of great options of activities. The staff is more than happy to help and give you ideas on what to do. Food is great!!
A wonderful place to stay, the food is great and they are 100% organic. A wonderful view towards the Alps in a close range through your windows or terrace if you are on the right side.
