My experience at the Weingarten hotel was nothing short of exceptional. Nestled in a picturesque location, the hotel offers breathtaking views and easy access to the region's most charming attractions. The culinary offerings were a true highlight, with each meal a celebration of authentic Italian flavors, prepared with the finest local ingredients. The wine selection was equally impressive, showcasing an exquisite range of local vintages that perfectly complemented the meals. This hotel is a paradise for those who appreciate fine dining, excellent wine, and a stunning location. I can't wait to return!
I recently had a wonderful time and experience at the Hotel Weingarten. The rooms are amazing and impeccably clean. The staff in every area is super friendly and attentive, making the stay even more enjoyable. The location is perfect, offering convenient access to the surrounding attractions. As for the amenities, they have a large parking lot, a relaxing sauna, a refreshing swimming pool, and a stunning large lake with a breathtaking view. It’s truly a must-visit place. What I liked the most was the super-rich breakfast. It featured fresh fruits and vegetables, various kinds of muesli, yogurt, a tea and coffee machine, and a juice maker. There were many types of freshly baked bread, croissants with different fillings, and a variety of jams. Additionally, they have a breakfast cook who prepares eggs right in front of you, which I found very impressive. Overall, I would give Hotel Weingarten a 10 out of 10. It’s definitely worth the visit, and we will be back for sure
Overall - would definitely recommend staying/eating elsewhere (there are so many lovely options in the area). We stayed for 4 days as part of a family group. Pros: restaurant staff are young but very kind / polite; natural pool outside is unique with lovely seating and view of the local church is quite stunning. Clean rooms & balconies on the south facing side are quite nice when available. Cons: biggest downfall is service from the main hotel staff/management: not once did we feel welcomed or accommodated; no needs are anticipated and when asking for something it always felt like we were intruding on someone rather than paying money to be guests. We had a particular issue with laundry - we asked for a single load to be done (washed/dried) and were told it would be done the morning of 2 days after latest for 35 euro; it took 3 days and they charged us 115+ by piece because they had decided to do 4 loads rather than the one we had asked. When we tried to discuss this, nobody took responsibility - the front desk staff instead started listing all the reasons we were at fault and (while we were trying to get out to our train) making us call the woman who had been on duty when we delivered the laundry to argue with her. We travel for work + vacation all the time - on average spending 100+ nights in hotels a year between us - and have never seen such poor service/management. Beyond this, food on average is quite poor - breakfast is nice, but lunch and dinner underdeliver on quality. Rooms are dated and very very hot in summer; amenities in garden are very worn (eg, ping pong paddles are broken). We were given a broken high chair to use for our son & though we had to pay for him (6 months) for food, the kitchen was unable to prepare anything for him when we asked for puréed versions of the main food, so we ended up stocking up at the local grocery store instead.
