Hotel Whistler

I stayed at the Hotel Whistler on 13-16 June. I can’t stress enough how much of a beautiful experience my sister and I had. From the wonderfully attentive staff, to the beautiful decor and lovely breakfast, we felt like royalty. The location was perfect and we got around Paris so easily. We were near some lovely cafes and there was a supermarket about 5 minutes’ walk away. I highly recommend it and will be staying there next time I’m in Paris.

The location is ideal for Gare du Nord, but of course that comes with being that much further from the center of the city. For our stay it was perfect with easy bus and train connections anywhere we needed. The staff were great, with special thanks to Benjamin who went above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable. Thank you! The small foyer/bar area was a pleasant oasis in the evenings, and had delicious breakfast in the mornings. The rooms are definitely small, but are well laid out to make the most of the space. I would not hesitate to return.

Walking into the hotel, we were greeted by reception who informed us we have to pay something called „tourist tax” for every night you stay. The receptionist said you do that everywhere in Europe but that’s not something I experienced in any other country I visited. When we got into the room, we see what I thought was a nice greeting gift of a bottle of water. However, attached to it was a note saying the bottle costs €15 if you want to keep it. We open the window curtains and are surprised to see a view on a huge peeling wall. The water pressure in the shower was very poor. The room was generally clean except for a dark hair on the toilet seat. The aesthetic of the hotel is nice as you see in the pictures. This hotel has no parking. Nothing special. The bed was comfortable- the duvet and pillows nice and soft.
