Hotel Wiesental

Really nice hotel. Friendly, capable staff. The rooms were recently renovated, very comfortabel and also very quiet. No noises from other rooms or the hallway. Location is good, less then 5 minutes from the nearest ski lift. Breakfast and dinner were superb. Owners of the hotel are very friendly.

Hotel: Very nice and spacious hotel room with a great sunny terrace. (Family suite, 2 separate bedrooms). Hotel is very well maintained, very clean and absolutely no noise from other guests. Nice spa area. 2 large rooms for boots and skis. Heated boot hangers. Food: semi-pension was good and abundant. Good choice of ingredients for breakfast including lots of fruits. Varying evening menu with choices and a children’s card. All high quality and carefully presented. Big wine card that is very well presented by the oldest daughter of the family, who is someliere. Service: professional and friendly service. They all try very hard to please and respond to each request. Not all staff members are as experienced as others. The owner has a firm hand but in our eyes it was to make sure everything goes smoothly and at desired standard, but she is very friendly. In the end it’s not that difficult to read and follow the very few “rules” of the house (times of breakfast, dinner, spa, no sports clothes during evening dinners). Location: 5min walk to the ski lift. It’s a small climb, but easy to access through the stairs next to the rimml store. It’s a great ski area and a lovely hotel. We definitely consider coming back!

We came for a small dinner and beer. Fish soup had no taste :-( tomato soup was very nice. We got 0.3 l beer without asking if we want bigger. We wanted to order something more but were sitting a long time above empty plates and glasses. Also waiting for the bill took ages. What a shame! It is not many restaurants where you can come for dinner here (even the big one). But we will not come any more to Wiesental. Do not try to be “posh” restaurant but try to be on a good level - fast and pleasant.
