Hotel Winterer

Warm wellcoming of lady owner, she is helpful, kind and so polite. Nice lady! Room was very clean, spacy, modern furniture, comfortable bed and quality bedding, excellent pillows. Everything to rest well and continue skiing. Excellent location of the hotel - the cable car Hochwurzen I and II are across the street from the hotel. Breakfast - perfect! Highly recommended!

We stayed here for the last week. Very nice hotel! We had a 4 person room which was nice and clean. Every morning there was a good breakfast with lot of choices. In the evening we enjoyed their dinner which is very varied and of good quality. With special thanks to the very kind Anita who was there almost every morning and evening! The hotel has a nice and warm locker room for the ski's and boots. The first ski lift is within 50 meters from the hotel. We had a very nice stay. Thank you!

The facilities and location easily warrant a solid 3 or 4 star property. Unfortunately, the innkeeper missed hospitality training 101… wait for her reply to this post and you will see what I mean. We stayed in the lovely Garden Room on the ground floor with a great view. Unfortunately, the hotelier turns their patio and flood lights on at 4pm, blinding you. Here you are, up on the side of the mountain that should not have light pollution and star gazing above the stunning mountains. At 8:30Pm our first night, I asked of these could be turned off and was told, “NO, they will turn off automatically at 23:30 PM”. She also said our room had “black out shades”, ours did not. Di have shades, they were not black out. They NEVER turned off the first night. The next day I had to share with her 4 times that the lights were still on but she fought me. I showed here the picture taken at 3:30AM of my room bright as a summer day and she finally looked into making sure it would go off at 23:30 that night. And it did finally go off at 11:30 and we could finally enjoy the mountain landscape at night, stars and planets, but now it was the middle of the night. If you want a night away on the mountain to enjoy mother nature and nice hospitality… this is NOT the place for you. So sad, so much possibility, such poor service.
