Hotel Wow

I spent a week over here. No complaints about the room. Quite okay in fact. I went downstairs to the restaurant/bar and although the prices are more expensive than everything else around, the quality is still quite okay. What i didn't like is that the waiter asked for leaving tip, not that i didn't want to, i usually do it anyway, but just the fact of being asked for changed my whole point of view of the place, and come on, not that service is good, you are lucky if you get listened a full sentence while ordering. Overall, everything is okay and the location is excellent.

POSITIVES: There is no doubt that this hotel looks good and the rooms are spacious. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. Bathrobe and slippers provided NEGATIVES: Trying to be constructive..standard studio: Kitchen: Despite photos and facilities listed, this room does not comply Kitchen only useful if having snacks or keeping things chilled in fridge No cooking allowed despite there being a 2 ring hob, so nothing provided for it. No microwave ..as listed No dishwasher ..as listed No washing up liquid and cloth or towel to dry dishes No clothes drying rack.. as listed No ironing facilities.. as listed Breaktast: Booked this hotel for the last 4 days of a months travel so wanted a 5* treat, including big buffet choices No buffet served ...told have to be more than 15 guests... Food was provided and was very nicely prepared but was from a menu and it was unclear what could be ordered except eggs. Staff: Very low on staffing and when addressing all of my issues with the receptionist she answered me but was at no time helpful or apologetic The breakfast menu was not explained by anyone..ie apparently you could order cereal and eggs, fruit, whatever you wanted. Fruit was whole pieces so you had to fashion your own fruit salad (no big deal I know) Never was it advised the hotel had a rooftop bar and pool which we found out about on the last day The spa / sauna has a sign by the stairs but again we were not told it was a facility There is a huge lack of customer service here and perhaps it is not what they are aiming for as it will possibly sell in trend Location: Central but car park and road views I have never had cause to complain before hence trying to be constructive. Hotel did nothing about my concerns however the booking platform did

We decided to book this hotel due to kitchen so we could cook our own meals (food allergies makes it almost impossible to order anything from restaurants) but surprisingly the kitchen in the hotel room came only with the silverware and plates, no cooking pots or frying pans or anything. At the reception I was told that it’s not advised to cook in the rooms. So we had to order from the hotel bar/kitchen after all but the hotel staff made sure the meals were prepared according to our instructions and the food was great so huge + for that, and also the price was good (25,-€ per two meals) breakfast was included and was great too, empty and quiet restaurant just for us. Unfortunately what we didn’t acknowledge anywhere on the website prior to booking the hotel was that the surroundings of the hotel were undergoing reconstructions and that the only way to get inside is by walking through dangerous construction site, with screws and metal nails lying around, also jumping over digged out holes for the wiring and water tubes right in front of entrance. Hotel Parking - 20€ per night but you cant drive out in the morning because its a construction site during the day. Room views towards the sea are not there, since there are already new buildings built there. As others have mentioned, the hotel has a great potential but it also lacks the service in some ways. I would appreciate these kind of things and updates to be presented to the future guests. Hotel was nice but if I had all this information upfront I would look elsewhere.
