Hotel Yasmak Sultan

This is a gem of a hotel that I find myself not wanting to review so that it remains a secret! It’s located centrally with easy access to places of interest as well as a wide range of restaurants and bars. Staff are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We decided based on our experience (rightly or wrongly) that Turkish hospitality needs to be studied by other countries. Everything is provided fresh at the lovely rooftop restaurant, when you go out and come back there’s ice cold water waiting for you at the reception, the rooms are immaculate and the spa section is lovely and serene. Definitely will be visiting again.

Great hotel, in a great location. I read it had a good breakfast; indeed, it does. The breakfast offering is extensive and you should definitely find something you'll like. The view from the restaurant is great and the service is great. You definitely want to go to the Turkish bath, in the spa; it was extremely refreshing. The rooms are small, by American standards, but I knew that coming in and don't really care. The room was clean and comfortable. The mattress is really comfortable; I was surprised because many hotels have hard mattresses. The shower is great; it gets hot fast. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. I think it is a great value in a perfect location.

There are many hotels in the neighborhood, but just comparing lobbies it is obvious that Yasmak Sultan is more reliable. Standard rooms are quite cramped, but very clean. If quiet is a requirement, bring good earplugs and ask for a room that is not along Ebussuud Cd as the street is very noisy. Food at breakfast is diverse, tasty and plentiful. The hotel has a very convenient location, right across the tram T1 line and in the vicinity of Sirkeci train station.
