Hotel Yo

We stayed for 3 nights and loved it here! We had 2 rooms and got the 3rd floor to ourselves, which was handy walking between rooms to share kids' clothes, toothbrushes etc. The beds were comfy, the fan was great, the shower was good, we got water daily, and there was a fridge. The pool is on the side but is lovely. Kids loved it. The best was their breakfast, omelette cooked fresh for you, a huge buffet of bread, scrambled eggs, chicken sausages, roasted tomatoes, fruit, curd, cakes, cereals, tea, coffee, juices, rice, daal.. it went on. We ate what we could and didn't need to eat again until 5/6pm! Best breakfast we've had so far in sri lanka. Everyone is also so lovely, friendly, helpful.. we had a driver but the hotel arranged tuk tuks, gave restaurant recommendations, they serve dolinner too, we ate out as we've fussy kids.. I can't find anything to complain about. Would highly recommend. Oh, I was in a room facing the lake and could see the tooth temple and buddah on the left

The manager and staff at Hotel Yo were incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive. We loved the location and our room! It’s a fantastic place to stay if you want to be near the lake and within walking distance of many attractions.

Good - Budget friendly stay. Hotel location is very close to Kandy lake and Kandy main city area, everything within 4-5KMs. as we booked this off-season there were hardly 2-3 bookings in this hotel so the breakfast was a set menu instead of buffet spread, but they have limited menu only. whatever they served was freshly made, good quality with taste only fresh juices were not available. For driver we got room for free to stay including parking. the stay is friendly and supportive. for our 1.5yr toddler they had a wooden baby chair which was unexpected. the road is quiet tricky and narrow to travel upto the hotel as it is located at the top of the hill.
