TUI Blue Zahara Beach is a truly elegant and modern hotel where you immediately feel comfortable and relaxed. The design and atmosphere are wonderful, and the overall experience is very pleasant. A special mention to Rosa in breakfast, who was absolutely lovely and attentive, making that part of the day especially enjoyable. However, we did face a bit of frustration with the reception staff, specifically a young woman who struggled to understand even basic English. Despite several attempts to get simple information, she had to rely on her colleagues and still couldn’t maintain a basic conversation. For a hotel of this standard, and part of the TUI brand, it’s surprising not to have front desk staff with at least a basic grasp of English, especially considering the international clientele. Aside from this, the rest of the team were professional and friendly, so overall a very good stay. Just a recommendation to improve language skills at reception for smoother communication.
We had a great 10 night stay here. Booked a room with a roof terrace, which was perfect for evening drinks and relaxing under the night sky after a tasty dinner. The room itself was spacious and looked well equipped. The open plan bathroom/bedroom featured a double shower, and although the toilet had a glass door, it was frosted enough to feel private. The bed was soft but comfortable. However, the headboard, while stylish, was very loose and would bang against the wall even when simply sitting up in bed, something that really should be addressed. There were a couple of disappointing aspects. The hairdryer was surprisingly poor for a 5 star hotel. It was pressure activated and wouldn’t stay on unless continuously pressed, which made it unusable for my gf. We’ve had better in budget B&Bs. The Nespresso machine in the room was also frustrating as it chewed coffee pods and often required 3 or 4 attempts just to make a couple of cups. We reported both issues to the front desk. They told us the hairdryer was the only type available but said they'd pass on the feedback to management. They also promised to look into the coffee machine, but nothing was done during our stay. Housekeeping was generally very good, with the room cleaned twice daily. However, on Sundays, it was only once and if you have the do not disturb activated you may miss the chance for fresh towels or toilet paper. That said, reception was helpful and quickly sorted anything we needed. We had dinner at the hotel lobby restaurant one night and were impressed by the food. Both mains and the homemade cheesecake were delicious. Unfortunately, the restaurant was nearly empty, which made the atmosphere feel flat. It might be livelier in peak season, but otherwise, you might be better off ordering room service or dining in the village, which has a fantastic vibe and many great options. Staff were welcoming, friendly, and helpful throughout our stay (aside from the unresolved hairdryer and coffee machine issues, which were more a management problem than a staff one). The location is also excellent - peaceful and just outside the busy centre, but within easy walking distance of great restaurants and the nearby beach. The underground parking costs 15 eur per day for guests, which feels excessive. There’s a free public car park just across from the hotel, which we recommend using instead. Overall, we had a good experience, but for a hotel that markets itself as luxurious, there are definitely some areas for improvement.
Most unreasonable hotel in zahara. No email or message reminder 1/2 days prior got dates wrong and asked for a change to the following night or another date and pay the difference. No movement from the hotel which I cannot understand. Took the payment and no way they would budge on changing to any other date
