Hotel Zi Teresa

Fantastic hotel that is only a short walk into the main part of Sorrento. Our room was spacious, modern, clean and had plenty of storage for hanging your clothes! We had a lovely big walk in shower. Our room looked over the pool area. The breakfast is great and they make you fresh omlette, fried egg if you want them. The restaurant opposite the hotel is a must! It was one of our favourite on our road trip of Italy.

Great location and price compared to others in Sorrento. Found service to be lacking, no help with bags with multiple staff seeing us struggle up stairs. The breakfast was disappointing not many options stuff seemed to just be thrown together. No alternative milk options. Pool is only open 10am-6pm which seems a bit rediculous after a nice day out can’t relax in pool because it’s closed. They like you to leave key at reception when leaving building as desk is 24hr which we didn’t mind however one occasion we came back and they had obviously turned our air con off whilst being out and forgot to turn it back on when we returned so our room was like a sauna! Not what you need when being out hot and sweaty all day… and you can’t jump in the pool to cool off! Safe in the room didn’t work. Showers constantly alternate hot and cold, be careful you might get burnt!! And don’t shower at night there won’t be any hot water left. Shower is very small as well! Despite this beds were comfortable, location is good walking distance to train/bus station, good restaurants, beach clubs etc. We had a nice view from our balcony.

Had a terrible experience. The room stunk. Terrible deodorizer smell gave us literal allergies; difficult to sleep. Pool water was ice cold. Other pools nearby were warm enough to swim. This was like an ice bath. Chairs and fixtures all worn. Very mediocre view of water and area. Tiny space; can’t even open a suitcase up fully without taking it to the balcony. Many other hotels nearby that were much better! Don’t stay here! Staff was very unfriendly. We had to carry our bags up 30 stairs, as did the elderly couple arriving behind us, as two young men stood and watched at desk and offered no help. When asked to change rooms was told no they were booked. Another woman was asking to change rooms directly after we did. We asked for a refund for the remainder of our stay after the first night due to allergies and dissatisfaction and were told no. They showed us a dirtier room that smelled rank at that time to change to but told us “the problem was us” and there was no smell. Air conditioner also did not work all night. Trip has been lovely in all ways except this stay. 0/10. Horrible. Bad management.
