When I arrived at the Hotel Waldberg, my first thought was: “How quiet it is here.” The hotel is new – you can tell that straight away. Everything is fresh, clean and quiet. Stylish furniture, loving details - you can feel that this has been furnished with taste. I had an apartment with a kitchen - it felt like a small, cozy apartment in the middle of nature. You wake up in the morning, open the window, and the air is filled with the scent of the forest. No rush, just peace and relaxation. Breakfast is not currently available, but will be introduced soon. In the meantime, you can go to the nearby bakery - fresh rolls, hot coffee, and the day starts with a smile. It's a shame that I was away on business - but I'll definitely be back for personal reasons. Nico Muller
The hotel is very comfortable and offers excellent value for money. The rooms are newly furnished, clean, and beautifully decorated, making you feel right at home. The peaceful surroundings and charming ambiance added to the overall enjoyment of my stay. I highly recommend if you are visiting the Eifel National Park, etc.
Never again – psychologically stressful and unacceptable!! We spent one night at the Hotel Waldberg and unfortunately experienced a state of emergency there. Twice – at 3:30 a.m. and again at 5:42 a.m. – we were roused from our sleep by the shrill fire alarm. The cause was unknown, and no one was to be seen in the hallway. The hotel's designated emergency numbers remained unreachable despite repeated calls. In this potentially dangerous situation, we were completely on our own – no one to contact, no information, no help. When we wanted to leave early after this stressful night, our car was blocked by another vehicle – as it later turned out, it was the hotel operator's vehicle. Again, all attempts to contact the hotel staff were unsuccessful. Only after the police were called did the blocking vehicle disappear – even though the operator had previously told the police that he was supposedly in Aachen and didn't have a spare key. Shortly after our departure, we encountered the operator's vehicle again on a nearby side street. It turned around at a distance, then approached us, and accelerated significantly. At a narrow point, we felt compelled to swerve onto the sidewalk to avoid a possible collision. At that moment, we had the impression that the vehicle was deliberately heading straight for us. This behavior was completely incomprehensible and frightening to us. The operator responded to our subsequent complaint not with an apology, but with blame. We were accused of having triggered the fire alarm ourselves. We were also informed that legal action would be considered if we raised the issue publicly or with the authorities. Conclusion: Despite the quiet location and a clean, simple room, this stay was psychologically stressful for us and overall unreasonable. We cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
