Hotel Ópera

Amazing hotel tucked in near the Opera house. Staff were kind and welcoming, had an easy check in process, and rooms were very nice. We upgraded to the terrace room with a jacuzzi tub, and it was totally worth the price. The rooms also had amazing AirCon, which was a plus coming back to after a hot day. Very clean and comfortable!

Great location in the heart of Madrid. However, they should notify for extras during booking. I emailed them to confirm our booking months in advance adding that we'll have a young child with us. They did not let me know about extra charges for an additional bed in our correspondence . Please let people know in advance or waive the charges.

When we arrived at the hotel, we left our bags at the reception after a very long journey and told them that we were going to get some food and come back, as more of our friends were on the way and we would all check in together. The receptionist said it was no problem and that we could leave the bags as long as needed. We were gone for only about ten minutes, and when we returned, our friends told us that the receptionist was very upset that we had left the bags there, even though he had said it was fine. When we started the check-in process, he behaved unpleasantly, was very irritated, and not friendly at all. Also, there are noises all night long – every door in the hallway makes a loud noise that wakes you up during the night.
