Satisfied Stay at a Budget-Friendly Hotel! The hotel is located in a convenient and accessible area, making it easy to get around. The staff were well-mannered, polite, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Rooms were clean and comfortable. Overall, a pleasant and hassle-free stay — definitely recommended for travellers looking for a decent place with good service.

We stayed for 2 days at Howard Johnson Kolkata and had a wonderful experience. The service was excellent, and the staff were extremely professional and courteous. A special thanks to Jana, the receptionist, for her warm and helpful attitude throughout our stay he made the check-in and stay very smooth and comfortable. Truly appreciated! Stayed at this hotel from Jul 7 to Jul 11, 2025. The hotel was truly a mixed bag. Expectations from the hotel was pretty high considering the fact that it’s a 4 star hotel but it failed to live up to my expectations. Room was a bit crampy, bathroom was sub standard where water flows all over after taking shower. There was a glass separator but only one side was covered, other glass was mysteriously missing. There was no door mat placed near the bathroom which makes the bedroom floor wet after taking shower. Service was not bad but not extraordinary either. The worst experience was with hotel’s Spa as the spa manager was quite unprofessional and only concerned about money, service takes a back seat which doesn’t even exist. Be extremely careful if you happen to avail their Spa service because they will try to rob you to the core and there’s no transparency on price they charge. 60 minutes session abruptly ended in 45 minutes with therapist claiming that’s how it works. Either hotel should consider closing their Spa facility or get some people who knows how to handle customers with professionalism, care and respect. Overall a below average stay at this so called 4 star hotel.
