Hun Tulum

Went for our 2 week honeymoon in Sept. 2021 and I can’t say enough about how beautiful the place is and how loving & caring the staff is with every guest. Brenda at the reception area was amazing and so intentional with my husband and I. She was constantly checking in and made our stay feel like a true honeymoon. She is such a sweetheart and a hard worker. I have no complaints about this hotel and their great staff. I am also gluten free and vegan for health reasons, and they went out of their way to accommodate my lifestyle and made sure I had a delicious breakfast everyday. The restaurant also carried great food for dinner!! The owner, the staff taking care of the car garage and every employee there was phenomenal! We would absolutely stay here again. 😬 thank you so much for genuine hospitality Hun Tulum!

I recommend HUN Tulum to anyone traveling to Tulum! The hotel is hidden on the Main Street of Tulum and had a security guard outside of it every night which made me feel safe. The Presidential Villas are worth the cost with two stories, AC, mosquito nets, and a small dipping pool. The property is well taken care of and has a small courtyard between all of the villas. Our stay came with free breakfast every morning which was fantastic compared to other free breakfasts I’ve received in the past. The staff was helpful and friendly and I will definetly be going back!

The Hun has so much potential. It truly is a unique and different experience in a great location however, it is in need of some immediate updates and improvements. We really had some concerns about the unit doors that don’t leave you feeling safe. unfortunately, the experience for the 4 days our group of 14 stayed was less than desirable riddled with many issues. While the staff members were nice, the service was poor. We had no water our second night there until the following morning. Never did it get any hot water during the stay. Towels were scarce. The room safe was broken. Outlet by the bathroom sink didn’t work. The pool for our suite was dirty. Some of our friends reported smelling mildew. The hotel manager told us as we were checking out, he was sorry for the inconveniences however, we were not compensated, for any of the shortcomings. The hand, which was a major attraction at this location was amazing overlooking the jungle however, getting there was dangerous. The steps with no rails and the structure itself was in disrepair. It would be interesting to see this place again after major repairs, updates and beautification.
