Travelled and visited from England with my 9yo son for a long weekend stay. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here with so many things to do from swimming, indoor play centre, bowling, pool and many others things. The hotel theme was throughout not just in the lobby like most hotels even small details like motivational quotes dotted about on walls. We would definitely stay again.
We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Hup Hotel! From the moment we arrived, we felt truly welcome. The staff was incredibly friendly, helpful, and always in a good mood. The hotel itself is modern, stylish, and thoughtfully designed. What really stood out was the amazing range of sports and leisure activities – perfect for active guests, families with kids, or anyone looking for a unique experience. Our room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable, with cozy beds and all the amenities we needed. The breakfast was excellent – a wide selection of fresh and delicious options in a relaxed setting. The location is also great – peaceful but still well connected, with plenty to explore nearby. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend Hup Hotel to anyone looking for a special and memorable stay!
I arrived, checked in, and placed my belongings in the room with the intention of resting for an hour before meeting colleagues in downtown Eindhoven. That rest never happened. The noise of children running up and down the hallways was constant and made it impossible to relax, let alone sleep. On top of that, there was a strong, foul odor in the hallway and the room that made the space feel unclean and uncomfortable. I decided not to stay the night and took my belongings with me when I went to meet my colleagues. From downtown, I emailed and called the hotel to request a refund, citing the unbearable conditions. The response I received was dismissive. I was told that the decision to return was mine and that they would only attempt to resolve the issue if I came back. Reluctantly, I returned to the hotel around 9:00 PM hoping for a meaningful resolution. The receptionist gave me a different room on the fifth floor, which was thankfully quieter, but the odor remained just as bad. I took photos of the carpet, which had visible, nasty stains that only reinforced my sense that the room was unsanitary. I emailed the hotel again to say the situation was unacceptable. At around 10:30 PM, a manager came to my room. Instead of showing empathy or professionalism, she argued with me, offering a third room as a solution. I explained clearly that if two rooms on different floors had the same odor issue, moving again made no sense. She refused to issue a refund, and the entire interaction felt confrontational rather than service-oriented. By 4:00 AM, I gave up entirely. The room was uninhabitable to me — between the smell and the stress of the situation, I couldn’t sleep. I packed up and left the hotel, choosing to sleep in my car rather than stay one more minute in that environment. This was not only a huge disappointment, but also a complete failure in basic hospitality. For a hotel advertising itself as a 4-star property, this experience was appalling. I do not recommend HUP to anyone looking for cleanliness, comfort, or respectful customer service. Avoid at all costs.
