Best hotel I have ever been. Staying at Hurdalsjøen Hotell & Spa in Norway was an extraordinary experience—truly the best hotel I've ever visited. Beautiful employees, great hospitality, beautiful modern, artsy and a lot of activities. Nestled in the midst of breathtaking fjords and surrounded by pristine natural beauty, this hotel offers a perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. From the moment I arrived, the beautifull staff made me feel like a valued guest. The rooms were simplistic designed, provided views of the landscape. Dining at the hotel was a highlight, with a restaurant that served exquisite Norwegian cuisine, featuring fresh, locally-sourced ingredients. I had the simple burger. But the difference in freshness between Europe and Norway is miles apart. Whether I was relaxing in the cozy lounge, pooling, canoeing, or exploring the nearby hiking trails, every moment at Hurdalsjøen Hotell felt like a perfect escape. If you're seeking an unforgettable stay in Norway, this hotel is an absolute gem. Will visit it again in the future
We had a very nice time with my boyfriend. Cozy place, nice view, great food, helpful staff.
The hotel is nicely located and the rooms are okay, albeit a bit oddly decorated and quite noisy. We booked this hotel via hotels.com mainly because it's described as family friendly and has a pool (our boys love pools). But when we got there, we found out that you have to pay extra to even use the pool and kids are only allowed until 2pm. You can't check in until 3pm and staying only one night, we had to check out before the pool even opened. It didn't say on hotels.com. Just say that kids aren't really welcome in the pool, then. Furthermore, the restaurant in the hotel was next to a disaster. The food was poorly made and overpriced. A basic thing like fries were made inedible. And with the location of the hotel, you don't have many other options. The service in the restaurant was nice, though. The breakfast was also quite good. But all in all not a great experience, I'm afraid.
