Oh my goodness this hotel is so beautiful. If you are planning to do big sur, please do. And stay at this hotel. The hotel property is so beautifully gardened, and although I did not get an "ocean view" room, I still had a stunning view of the ocean. My room came with an enormous tub, and a fireplace with firewood/kindling prepped. I really enjoyed that through the night. The parking is obviously free, and plentiful. It's such a pleasure to walk around here. Only thing of note I can think of, is that the hotel itself definitely lends itself to more vacation club/timeshare type of a vibe. So I didn't get quite the "hotel style" amenities you would expect at this price, like water bottles, minibar, plentiful toiletries, etc. But do not let that sway you, it truly just did not matter. Definitely the prettiest hotel I have ever had the pleasure of being.

Hyatt Carmel is absolutely beautiful! The views are amazing, and there’s nothing like enjoying brunch while watching the fog roll in off the water. The food at The Lodge is delicious (the caprese salads and hot mocha made my reorder list!), and everything tasted super fresh. The outdoor seating is cozy with heaters, and the service was incredible, friendly, helpful, and accommodating. Everything was clean and well-kept, and I loved walking the property just to admire the gorgeous landscaping. Can’t wait to come back!
