Our recent stay was absolutely fantastic, and a huge part of that was thanks to Christopher at the front desk. From the moment we checked in, he was incredibly kind, funny, and polite, making us feel welcome and valued. His warm demeanor and efficient service truly set the tone for a wonderful experience. We couldn't have asked for a better first impression or a more helpful person to assist us throughout our stay. Thank you for the cookies, Christopher! :)
I have not stayed in Hyatt hotels in years because of a bad experience in Florida. That all changed now. What stood out the most about my stay in VA was one person. His name is Aymane he works the front desk. He greeted us with a smile there was something very warm and kind about him. I felt welcome! Any question I had he knew the answer and offered a little extra to make my stay better then we expected. His recommendations were spot on. I love DC and the hotel location was perfect. The metro is right there. The other thing that was great I stopped at the bar for a night cap and the gentlemen bartender served us it was about 10 minutes before the bar closed. He did not rush us he let us finish our drink in peace and off to bed we went. We will be back
There’s a certain level of earnestness in better hotels in Asia compared to those in the USA I believe. An earnestness not only to do their basic jobs but to address whatever it is to make your stay better. And with competency rather than let’s say robotic government worker-like bare minimum effort. I just noticed this trend in Hyatt hotels I stayed in in this trip (Arlington, Atlanta, Houston). I requested over the phone for an electric kettle. I was told yes and will be brought to my room. Half an hour later on following up I was told it should’ve been there, maybe I have the “do not disturb” sign hanging out or maybe it was left outside the door. I said no and no and was told another request will be made. Half an hour later on following up again, I was told maybe they ran out and maybe I could just get hot water from the Starbucks on the ground floor. I said maybe she just check if they have and just get me one. She said yes. Another half an hour later (so that’s 2 hours from when I first made the request) with no word back, I spoke with somebody else (maybe more supervisory) who told me: the hotel does not have electric kettles. You can’t make this up.
