This review is on behalf of my Dad and bro. We have stayed at many amazing places such as Surfers Paradise Marriott Resort and Four Seasons. Upon checking in we were greeted with a wonderful smile, welcomed and treated like never before. Anna was her name and the Management at Hyatt should feel so privileged to have her working with them. In my 20+ years myself in management and l’m sure my son would express the same sentiment if we had the chance we would employ her for our respective workplaces in a heart beat. The service rating for Anna in this instance is not 5, 10 stars. A special shout out to the best customer service we have ever encountered. Feel proud Anna as l’m sure other travellers would have felt the same way. Thank you for making our last night in the USA after three wonderful weeks so much more memorable.
Stayed at Hyatt Centric Delfina Santa Monica in summer 2025. Overall, the hotel itself was great — clean, spacious room with a lovely view, comfortable beds, neat furniture, and a small balcony. Housekeeping came daily. There’s a shared microwave on the floor, beach towels available at the lobby, and a small but cozy pool. The location is excellent — close to the beach and easy to get around. But the front desk service was a major letdown. We understand that things happen — delays, busy check-in times, staffing issues — it’s part of travel. But this was the first time we genuinely felt on the verge of making a scene. The tone and attitude were just that disrespectful. We checked in at 11 a.m., and by 3 p.m. (the official check-in time), our room was still not ready. We had specifically booked a high-floor room. When we asked again, the staff member responded with clear irritation and rudeness, as if we were bothering him. He offered us a room on the 2nd floor instead. When we returned 10 minutes later to clarify, he snapped that we needed to “get in line,” despite the fact that we’d already been waiting over an hour. He acted like he was doing us a favor. Finally, when we spoke to another staff member, miraculously a 6th-floor room was available — exactly what we’d originally booked. The room was also missing a coffee maker, which we had to request separately. Not a huge deal, but odd for a Hyatt-level hotel. Bottom line: the hotel is new, clean, and in a great location. But the attitude and communication style we encountered at the front desk were completely out of line with Hyatt standards. We’ve stayed in basic motels where the staff was friendlier. A really disappointing first impression — and one that shouldn’t happen in a hotel of this class.
Great hotel in Santa Monica. Booked here because we had an appointment at UCLA. Staff was so courteous and helpful. Valet was quick and it is in a walkable area. Room was clean and had a nice view. Room was super quiet and didn’t hear other guests or street noise. Was a comfortable stay and will be back
