Stayed here 2x at the start and end of a trip to Spain! We loved it so much we booked the same room for our second stay (suite 808 if you're curious- the balcony view is amazing!) The hotel is walking distance or a quick ride to many sites. Highly recommend this hotel!

This hotel was perfect. The location was in the middle of everything and we walked to every location on our list. But it was also quiet and peaceful in our room and a great respite from the crowds of downtown Madrid. We have been to many high end luxury hotels and can honestly say that our room at this hotel was our favorite room we have ever stayed in. The view was amazing and the design and layout were perfect. The staff at this hotel were fantastic. They went above and beyond to help us celebrate our 20 year anniversary. We will be back and we can’t wait!

This Hyatt Centric is a really good hotel, with nice rooms and elegance. The rooftop bar/restaurant is wonderful. That said, the Hotel has some significant issues warranting this rating. The first is the elevators. We arrived on a Tuesday. One of the two lobby elevators was broken. This meant that we consistently had to wait five to ten minutes to get up or down to our room. We left Wednesday and returned on Friday. That same elevator remained inoperable. Because it was the weekend, the wait time for the elevator increased significantly. We regularly had to walk several flights of stairs to get to or from our room. This appeared, in large part, due to the Hotel’s prioritization of non-guests accessing the awesome roof top bar/restaurant (which is, indeed, great!). The problem with this is that the elevator basically goes up and down to the rooftop, with no space for guests to ride up or down given the weight limitations of the elevator. Sacrificing guest experience for the sake of the rooftop bar/restaurant was off-putting. When we left Monday, the broken elevator remained unfixed. There is a “guest only” elevator in the back. While the Hotel may think this resolves the elevator congestion problem, it does not because there are so many guests that there is an elevator congestion issue there as well. Second, there seem to be some accounting issues at the Hotel. We were double charged for two nights during our stay, as in, we prepaid but were charged for those nights again at check out. We didn’t realize this until later. It’s been nearly a week and remains unresolved. Aside from these issues, this is a good place to stay if you like being in the center of the Times Square of Madrid. Hopefully they fix the above issues soon.
