Friendly, helpful staff and incredible dinner and breakfast buffet. Rooms were spacious, quiet and clean. Room included coffee and tea-making facilities which was appreciated. Could be improved by providing ecofiltros or filtered water dispensers in a public area (lobby or one on each floor perhaps, like in other hotels) to reduce the use of disposable plastic bottles of water. 2 bottles were provided per room but they get used up quickly for toothbrushing etc. Overall, wonderful experience.
We had an amazing time here at the Hyatt. The redemption value if you’re a Hyatt member and have enough points is more than fair. It is located in zone 10. Probably one of the most modern parts of the city and only 10 minutes away from the airport. The rooftop And all the amenities were amazing. Rudy was the host that attended us the last day that we were there, we were so glad that we met him. He’s very knowledgeable about Guatemalan culture and gave us a few insider tips. The only reason that I’m giving it four stars instead of five is for the fact that we requested an early check-in and it was approved, but upon getting to the hotel, our friends were able to check in early, but we weren’t. We were also told that breakfast was complementary with our stay, but when we went to breakfast, we come to find out that it was 25 USD per person for the breakfast buffet. We even contacted Hyatt directly to see if there was any wiggle room, but unfortunately, they weren’t able to accommodate. We also saw that other guests got complementary welcome tastings of the local rum, which weren’t given to us. Other than waiting for the room, having to pay for breakfast, and not receiving the complementary tastings. The overall experience was amazing. The rooms were super clean. The staff was super friendly. The drinks at the rooftop were pretty good for the price that they were at. And the views from the pool were amazing. The pool is also a bit warm. So even during the rainy season, it is amazing to spend a day up at the pool. I would be more than happy to stay here again on my next visit to Guatemala
The room looks nothing like the picture online. The bathroom is disgusting, the washcloths are shredded and stained, and the tubs retain water so the filth of using a hotel tub is all over your legs while you bath. Super annoyed and disgusted that the showers are not walk in showers. This is at best a 3 star hotel.
