Had a great stay at the Hyatt in Old Town Alexandria. The room was clean and the front desk was friendly and accommodating. The only con to the location is that there is no parking on site but they offer free valet service. You need to call down in advance for your car or you’ll be stuck waiting 10-15 minutes pending on how busy they are. Only knock on the place was we asked for our bed sheets to be changed when we went for dinner and when we got back we only had towels put in the bathroom and the bed was not done. They ended up bringing us sheets but we needed to change the bed ourselves. Great location within walking distance to the water and lots of great shops and places to eat.

I recently stayed at the Hyatt Centric Old Town Alexandria and would give it a solid 3 out of 5 stars. The location is a definite plus--right in the heart of Old Town with easy access to King Street, the waterfront, restaurants, and shops. The hotel has a modern look and the staff were friendly and accommodating. That said, there were a few things that made the stay just okay. While the room was clean and had a nice aesthetic at first glance, some of the furniture--like the desk--felt cheap and flimsy, which took away from the overall feel. The bed wasn't especially comfortable, and the shower had some minor issues that could use attention. Noise from the hallway was noticeable, especially at night, which made it hard to get a good night's sleep. The gym is small but functional--fine if you just want to squeeze in a quick workout. Food and drink options on-site were limited and a bit overpriced. Also, the breakfast starts at 7 am which is too late, especially if you have a morning meeting or early ride. Overall, the location is great and it serves its purpose, but the hotel doesn't quite live up to the expectations I typically have for a Hyatt Centric property.

Overall okay experience, no on site parking (which goes against what they advertise), valet parking was $40 a night which they also don’t keep track of so if you valet once they’ll charge all your nights with valet. There’s no fridge or microwave in the rooms so you’ll be eating out all your meals. There’s a bunch of small things too like they have square bar soap and a square soap holder so it’s hard to even grab your soap to wash your hands. I talked to the desk for a couple issues during my stay as well (no fridge and extra valet charged) and they started both times with some comment that didn’t help the problem. But they ultimately addressed the issue. Everything was clean throughout the hotel and the lobby bar seemed nice at least.
