Check-in was a breeze, thanks to Kimberly, the manager on duty when we arrived. Prior to our stay, I had emailed the hotel to request a wheelchair for my mom, who is physically disabled. When our Uber dropped us off, I went to the fifth floor, where reception is located, and requested the wheelchair. Kimberly promptly asked if we needed additional assistance and personally helped us with our luggage. She then escorted us back to the fifth floor to complete the check-in process. As Globalist members, we also received a nice goodie bag. Happy hour is from 5 PM to 7 PM in the fifth-floor lounge, offering alcoholic beverages like red and white wines, as well as Taiwan beer. Non-alcoholic drinks include Calpis, yogurt beverages, and various juices, alongside snacks such as sweet red beans in cans. This happy hour is open to all hotel guests, though non-Globalist members should note that hot tea and coffee may incur an additional charge. During our first two nights, the food selections included udon and oden featuring kimchi, daikon, fish cakes, pig blood cake, cookies, chips, and small packs of instant noodles. On the third night, luwei (assorted braised foods) such as dried tofu, instant noodles, braised cabbage, and mini meatballs were provided. We received an upgrade to a higher floor as a Globalist member. We have a spectacular view of Taipei’s skyline and Taipei 101. The room was clean, reasonably spacious for its central location, and provided ample closet space and hangers for clothing. The bathroom featured a separate bidet toilet and a shower equipped with both a rain showerhead and a handheld option, both delivering excellent water pressure. The sink was located outside the toilet and shower area, and the bathroom could be fully enclosed with a wooden curtain. Our room included two glass bottles of filtered water, a Nespresso machine, and a hot water kettle. Additionally, a glass pitcher for water refills was conveniently located across from the elevator. The water dispenser offered cold, warm, or hot water; however, I recommend using only cold or warm water with the provided pitcher. Breakfast at Texas Roadhouse on the first floor was fantastic. As Globalist members, we received complimentary breakfast and free drinks in the social bar lounge on the fifth floor, where snacks such as cookies and gummy bears were also provided, making it a pleasant place to relax. Additionally, there is a well-equipped gym conveniently located around the corner from the reception on the fifth floor. Although small, it perfectly meets the needs of guests looking to maintain their fitness routines during their stay. Overall, our experience with the hotel and its staff was exceptional, and we look forward to returning on our next trip to Taiwan.
Really enjoyed our stay here! Our first night was spent here without our bags (unfortunately they arrived later the next day!) and Hanna (I hope I got her name right) at front desk was super friendly empathetic and even took the initiative to hand write a list of shops that sold phone chargers as this was something I was fretting over. We arrived in time for happy hour and we managed to relax and fill our tummies & hearts! Everyone in the hotel is super friendly and I love love love the entire vibe this hotel has with the vinyls on display (so nice to listen to mayday on the day we arrived!) and Taiwan’s famous hospitality shone right through. Rooms are a little small but cosy fits the mood and vibe :) there’s a gym at level 5 (essential) and the lifts serve the floors quickly (we didn’t have to wait much if not at all). Would definitely come back again! Thanks again for the lovely service :)
Very happy with this hotel. We stayed here for several days with our 4-month-old. For anyone traveling with a baby, the hotel was able to provide a baby bath tub, bottle sterilizer, and cot. That in itself was impressive. I really loved the decor in the rooms and in the lobby as well.
